My name is Evelyn, and I’m a single mother living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
After 24 years of surviving domestic abuse, I finally made the hardest but most necessary decision — to leave. I was diagnosed with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) due to years of emotional, financial, and sexual abuse.
I’m now raising my youngest child, who has ADHD and Asperger’s Syndrome, entirely on my own.
🆘 Why I’m Raising Funds:
I’m currently facing multiple legal battles — divorce, custody, and protection orders — with no financial safety net. I’m doing everything I can to protect myself and my child, but the legal and living costs are overwhelming.
A local NGO provided me with 2 weeks of temporary shelter at a critical point. But when they realized my case involved powerful people, they quietly stepped back. Since then, I’ve had no support — just the will to survive, protect my child, and fight for justice.
🌱 I’m Rebuilding…
Despite everything, I’m slowly rebuilding my life.
I’ve been creating printable planners on Etsy, uploading calm music on YouTube, doing freelance writing, and participating in research studies on Respondent.io — all while caring for my child full-time.
These efforts help me stay afloat, but they’re not enough to cover urgent legal and survival costs.
I’m not asking for charity. I’m asking for a lifeline — a bridge to get through this critical time with dignity and hope.
