Bleh, bleh bleh! I vant to suck your blood, then frolic in the sunshine!
Such is the life of Coen of Laslea, a charming protagonist in a spiritual successor to The Witcher 3. It would seem that sequels are confirmed if not already in development, and that gets a firm 'hell yeah' from me.
One thing that I thought would put me off was the game's 30-day time limit. It only progresses when you complete quests, dig up treasure chests, and unlock skills; so unlike the typical RPG that lets you pick flowers and laze about while the fate of the world is in the balance, Dawnwalker wants you to pick your battles wisely and is all the better for it.
Combat-wise, it's a bit of Assassin's Creed 4 with a little Shadow of Mordor and, of course, Vampyr mixed in. All immensely enjoyable, and while you won't be able to see all the game has to offer in a single playthrough, it's definitely one to check out.
