Hi, thank you for stopping by. I'm Wendy, also known as The Coddiwomple Lady and I'm a writer and artist from Kent in the UK and my dearest wish is to inspire you to follow your sunshine.
The definition of Coddiwomple:
Coddiwomple is believed to be an old English slang verb meaning “to travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination” and it’s something I believe we all do.
I share my random, lighhearted musings on Substack and my personal blog as I continually travel purposefully through life as a 50-something, adult orphaned, childfree by choice oneling (a softer way of saying “only child”!)
My art is inspired by nature and my natural surroundings. and I invite you to take a look in my Shop to see if anything takes your fancy.
