Professional Plogger - Picking up Trash to Inspire

Dec 03, 2024

imagePlogging = Picking up trash while running.
Just on my daily runs, I pick up 40,000L of trash each year!

Hi everyone. My name is Paul. For 13 years I have been picking up trash while running in my free time. But since October 2024 I am trying to make this a full time profession - a professional plogger - the first of its kind.

This is not a negative story about trash. This is a positive and fun story about how to make sustainability ADD to our lives and not SUBTRACT from it.

To see who I am and the passion I have for this, the best thing to do is look at my instagram www.instagram.com/wayeoflife

By supporting me you are able to help me to continue to
-Pick up trash daily on my runs (I pick up over 40,000L of trash each year)
- Post positive stories to inspire change (the world NEEDS more positive stories)
- Go crazy.. ok, this is where is gets fun... these are my immediate projects that you will be helping to support;

12 Steden Plog / 12 City Plog

May 2025 - 31 marathons in a row - running around the Netherlands in a banana suit picking up trash. That is 1300km / 812miles in one month. Self supported. I will be doing clean-ups in the cities I visit and you will be able to track me live. AND as a patreon supporter of mine you will have special access to livestream and other member only content.

1000 Plastic Bottle Earth Suit
This past year I discovered the power of a sparkly Taylor Swift dress! I collected 600 cans off the streets, turned them into a dress and flag, and ran Rotterdam marathon in it

I am deep into my next project - 1000 plastic bottles - all picked up off the streets.
I am going to run a marathon in it - somehow - that is around 12 bin bags full of bottles.
I want it to look like a giant earth

If you look at my website (www.wayeoflife.com) you will see that my goal is to get the bulk of my income from companies. In all honesty, I would rather they pay for everything - and you just enjoy the content.
But a few people have said that they still really want to support me. So I have set up Patreon.

For now the membership tiers are simply to show support of this venture (my ultimate goal is that this works and I can share how I did it with others for them to do the same) - but I have some great ideas that make your support fun to you and not just beneficial to me. I am excited.

Thank you for reading to the end. That in itself means a lot to me. Thank you

Paul
