We are a group of artists making a programme of rigorous and experimental dance at Wainsgate Chapel along a quiet track in rural Yorkshire.
It's a unique programme where the local community and others from far and wide are warmly welcomed to engage with dance that you can usually only encounter in the city.
We support dance artists to make the work they want to make, hold daily dance sessions for people aged 4 to 94, programme excellent performance work, and host teachers from all over the world who facilitate dance workshops and other activities for all.
Wainsgate Dances has become a beacon for dance makers and audiences seeking out authentic, vibrant and challenging encounters with dance in a welcoming environment.
We've been attracting attention and praise far and wide for the work we do, and were recently described as "a wellspring of creativity" by the Guardian newspaper.
We're at a crucial moment in our development, making good things happen totally without funding - still passionate, but flagging, and need some help to take our work forward.
If you know us or appreciate the work we do from afar, please buy us a coffee or two to help us to keep going.
If you'd like to find out more about us, and to read some of the many testimonials from people who have encountered us, please head to the website, and social media links below.
We both need, and will hugely appreciate your support
