Let's make a toilery bag! This is a rather easy project and beginner-friendly. This is the type of bag that will hide all the sewing flaws inside which makes it perfect for those who are still practicing and learning.
First, attach one side of the zipper to the leather. Mark a line on the zipper where the leather's top and end are located.
Pull the zipper apart.
Attach the other part of the zipper on the other side of the leather. Make sure to line up the markers.
Sew both sides of the zipper up to the leather.
Install the zipper head. Run it through the zipper once to close up the zipper.
Place the zipper head in the middle of the zipper.
If using the short type of handle, you will install that at this step.
Fold the handle in half with the right side out.
You will place it right under the zipper.
Sew the end of the zipper up. Do this on both sides.
If using the longer handle, you will install it at this step.
Run it under the opening with the wrong side up, and attach it to the middle on both sides.
Fold and sew the sides up like so.
Same thing on the other side.
Sew them all up. Make sure the zipper is not folded.
Open up the zipper and flip it inside out.
Shape it better.
