I'm slinking back in to say hello.
Hi.
Life got a little chaotic for a while and I slacked off writing, but I am still progressing...slowly...on Big Bobby Ray.
The story has taken a bit of turn. Mo major changes to the relationship, but the outside influences just weren't working. it took a while for me to center in on the problem, but I finally figured out that I was trying to make a character nice when she needed to be base level terrible human. I decided to just embrace the terrible and since then, the story has settled into what it wants to be. Writing is much easier now.
I'm also looking at series potential. I've realized some of my small-town contemporary outlines could mesh into Bobby Ray and Lanna's world very easily. I'm currently looking at six or seven stories in their town and I can see it going farther. I don't want to think about what that means for the 50+ other stories in my WIP files. If I don't look, they can't hurt me, right?
I'm also looking at using the features of this site more. KU isn't garnering reads on my erotica stories published under the name Voirey Linger, so the plan is to move them off KU and make them available here. I may move them into collections as well. I'm still pondering. There are a lot of options available to self-published authors right now and I want to experiment with as many of them as possible.
For now, though, my focus is on getting BBR done. I've got an editor lined up, so getting it completed and ready for her is my priority.
