My first post here, and is about something I am really passionate about. The craze of AI started a few years ago and I have seen so many apps being built at lightning speed. Some really useful, some were fascinating experiments and others I was just asking myself "why on earth would I use that?" 😅.
Since I started working in start-up environments more than 3 years ago, I realised something... Speed and quality are the winner's choice and that's where I believed Large Language Models could shine. No fancy agents doing whatever human work or anything. Just plain text clarification. For what? For UXR analysis of course.
At the current startup I am working at, everyone involved with product work does all kinds of research. Interviews, surveys and of course quantitative, detailed tracking. My main issue was with qualitative to be honest. Tons of interviews a week, one researcher to layout reports and very little time for us, the 2 designers to do much more. That's where the idea came. Have a tool that with minimal effort could outline main things from an interview. Tagged insights, statements, sentiment, personas, jobs to be done, user journeys, user stories etc. This is what later became researchstudio.ai. Drag pdf's, documents, excel files or video/audio files, extract the information/transcripts and extract different types things.
It won't do all the fine grained things for you, but when you need a general analysis done fast, it's my go to option. I get personas, statements and self-tagged insights in a matter of minutes + the super accurate transcription. We are living wild times that's for sure. It's also super easy to share and can export everything in Notion, so no need to onboard people to yet another app.
