Does Every Prayer Really Get Answered?

Does Every Prayer Really Get Answered?

Does prayer to God truly get accepted? Does God really fulfil the desires of our hearts? From my own experiences, I have found that God certainly listens to the voice of our hearts. But there is one condition that our prayer must come from a pure heart, a focused mind.

A prayer performed merely as a formality becomes nothing more than a physical act.

While praying, the most essential thing is that the mind must be fully connected with it.

If we pray with sincerity, our prayer surely reaches God and is fulfilled. But at the same time, we must remain attentive to our duties. Simply performing rituals or praying to God while neglecting our responsibilities is not acceptable to Him.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna emphasises the primacy of karma (action). When a person fulfils their duties and responsibilities while praying, only then does the prayer become worthy of being accepted.

From my own life experiences, I have seen this truth manifest and proven. When I was in the 10th grade, I desired to top my class. At that time, there was intense competition.

I studied with complete dedication and concentration, while continuously praying to God to grant me the strength to achieve the top position. In the end, I succeeded.

The same happened again in the 12th grade. At that time, I had little faith that I could do it again, but I prayed sincerely and worked hard.

As a result, even though I was an average student, I again became the college topper. To this day, I consider this a blessing from God, because otherwise, I would not have possessed such ability on my own.

People in this world often make two types of mistakes:

Some only pray but do not act. Others make prayers that have no real foundation.

Now, consider this yourself if someone is born with dark skin and prays day and night, saying, “O Lord, make me fair-skinned,” do you think such a prayer will be accepted?

Absolutely not. Because it goes against the divine laws.

The greatest mistake of mankind is to try to bend divine laws according to personal needs. But in the court of God, this does not work.

Similarly, if a student spends the entire year without studying and only prays to God to pass the exam, is that possible? Certainly not. God listens only to those prayers that are backed by action and genuine effort.

Therefore, always remember

A prayer is accepted only when it is supported by sincerity and the power of action.
