Hi! I'm Virginia, artist and indie filmmaker of Bama breed, Hollywood counterculture, and world wandering alt theatre. Most recently returning south to star in, write, produce, and champion beaucoup art. Such as, A24's The Death of Dick Long (Daniel Scheinert of Oscars record breaking, The Daniels), Vanishing Angle's The Beta Test from Jim Cummings, Lynn Shelton's Sword of Trust, sci-fi fairy tale Falling Home, indie all-star lead southern thriller Don't Die, tons of award winning shorts, and fest alum of Sundance, Berlinale, Tribeca, SXSW and a slew of regional creator loving festivals. A few medium mashups include, Jay Scheib's live-cinema production of Chekhov's Platonov which streamed to Time Square/BAM Rose Cinemas, Cucalorus Festival's commissioned Blue Velvet installation, Bus To Lumberton, Julian Rosefeldt’s epic video installation at Park Ave Armory, Euphoria, with Cate Blanchett & Giancarlo Esposito.

My curiosity for innovating the ways we create has lead to spaces like the inaugural Constellation Incubator where selected creators applied design thinking to reimagine and scale a more sustainable, equitable filmmaking ecosystem. Other fave art advocacy collaborations with; the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, Alys Stephens Center, Girls Rock, ACLU, Saturn Birmingham, and performing alongside punk protest collective, Pussy Riot for Planned Parenthood.

As for mentoring, I take an intuitive approach to help find where best to direct your focus. Consider me your muse for hire, creativity doula, and strife coach. We talk through areas you feel stuck, whether you're an actor unraveling a new role, writer up against a creative block, or have general frustrations with the uncertainty of creative industry. You can bring material you’re working on, questions about the rapidly evolving film climate, or just yourself at any stage of the process. No one really teaches us how to maintain a healthy emotional life with total freedom of expression. I like to find your unique desire to create fearlessly while building psychological integrity. Open to unearthing the creative in any field, specializing in performers and movie makers. I can work remote or when I drift through your town, and work on a sliding scale that's adaptable to anyone's budget.
