The Visionary's Epiphany

He was about to take his last breath when he heard everything around him start to speak; even the silence had something to say.

He realized that in a couple of minutes, he'd be gone. But the world around him would keep going on and on and on.

"You are nothing." He said out loud, "No matter who you are, what you did, or whatever you leave behind, you are nothing but a part of a bigger plan. Beyond a man. Beyond one life. Beyond a dream."

And he continued, "We go back into God's toy box, while He plays on with another one that will join us too, once his time is due."

"And our world will be wiped out, destroyed, when He decides to play somewhere else when it all gets old."

"Only your love counts; that's what I mean. That thing no one can grab, destroy, or make unclean."

"But this love thing, is that real? You ask me. Well, why don't you just take a little peek inside and see?"

"You are nothing, merely dust. I consume your bodies and snort your rust. And I know that you've never been there before. Because one may only see when he's bound to lose the war."

With a smile on his face, he took his last breath and welcomed the absolute freedom called death.
