A simple, mindless act.
Believing young blue eyes.
My word is a synonym for fact.

My way is less important.
The years have come and gone.
The simple white lie
lies heavy on my heart.
A gut feeling;
like I'm being torn apart.

Heed my honest warning.
A valuable piece of advice.
Watch out for who believes
even your most soothing lies.

Never deserving
of any form of twist of truth.
An act of which you'll never heal.
Although forgiving like no other,
just never lie to your mother.
