Hello fellow Arcade Vector Fans,
I haven't forgotton you. This one has been long in the making - eight legendary games and the one and only Star Castle:
## Initial Release [2026-10-15]
- Recreation of Cinematronics and Vectorbeam arcade hardware on the
MiSTer FPGA platform, including the CCPU, PROCEED frame synchronization,
watchdog behavior, E8 PROM-derived vector timing, and digital models of
the discrete audio boards.
- Support for Star Castle [rev 3], Armor Attack, Rip Off,
Starhawk, Warrior, Barrier, Space Wars, and War of the
Worlds (monochrome), using the original game ROMs.
- HD vector engine featuring multiple target resolutions, including
1080p, 720p, 480p, 480i, and 240p. Supports CRT output, Direct Video,
and optional 120 Hz output at 720p.
- Velocity-dependent brightness and adjustable dwell effects model
how beam speed affects line intensity and how bright stationary points
saturate the phosphor.
- Adjustable bloom, halo, and phosphor persistence, with glowing
highlights, fading trails, and brightness accumulation where vectors
overlap.
- Cabinet artwork for Star Castle, Armor Attack, Barrier, Warrior,
and War of the Worlds, embedded in the supplied MRAs and loaded
automatically. Supports all display resolutions and orientations,
with adjustable tint and brightness. Linear-light processing preserves
bright vector highlights through translucent artwork.
- Artwork tools for extracting artwork from MRAs and preparing and
embedding replacements.
- Six video presets: They Came for Fuel, Black Hawk Down,
Knights & Castles, King of My Castle, Red Alert, and Ultraviolet.
Includes two custom profiles, game-specific defaults, and saved settings.
- Game-specific controls and DIP settings, with profile shortcuts,
pause options, and idle-screen dimming.
