Writer and researcher in the history of science and the interconnections between technology, science and society. Working to build a better independent web and nurture a more thoughtful and responsible community through essays, notes, podcasts and a newsletter.
I have been writing on my website for over 17 years and running newsletters since 8 years. I enjoy writing about topics of my interest because believe that independent, thoughtful and effortful writing nurtures a more responsible culture.
But there are no effective ways for those of us on the independent web to monetise what we do. If you wish to support my writing, newsletter and more, and if you find value in them, please consider joining the One-a-Month club.
Who am I?
I’m V.H. Belvadi, a trained physicist and historian of science from the University of Leeds. I'm the author of VHBelvadi.com and the monthly newsletter Confluence. I study the history and philosophy of science, technology and society and write thoughtful, well-researched articles around their interconnections, on issues that affect our world and lives.
In an age when we are swamped with content, the work of independent essayists and book reviewers, photographers and musicians becomes more meaningful than ever before.
If you can support quality work, please do.
