Who is VEX?

VEX, Ventnor Exchange Spoken Word Collective, is a space for writers and performers who want to create, experiment and develop their craft in a supportive environment.

What will you spend my donation on?

Any donations we receive will primarily go towards the production of our zine, and our various activities as a group during Ventnor Fringe.

The Zine

We produce a quarterly zine under the name VEX BOMB. You can grab your very own copy at the Ventnor Exchange, Ventnor, Isle of Wight or read our latest on Issu: VEX BOMB 002

Ventnor Fringe

Last year's Ventnor Fringe production was the spoken word show ‘Circus of Verse’, an original piece that combined, well, spoken word and circus acts. It was a silly farcical show that a few members of VEX both wrote and starred in.

Collaboration

We have a number of ongoing collaborations with others artists and organisations including Pompey Poetry Party, artist David Blandy and more. Funding will support travel costs and hiring of people and spaces.
