When you see a clearly-labeled fall theme in the heart of winter, you might wonder "Why didn't you post about this back in October?" Well, I certainly would have, if I'd had the product in the fall months! I just received this Pumpkin Spice Latte rice cereal treat a few days ago, from a company I've grown to love called "Indacloud." This dreamy brand showcases a fantastic display of gummies, vapes, pre-rolls, tinctures, concentrates, and unique sweets like Dope Ropes, cocoa cereal treats and these fascinating little hard-candy drops called Dabz. I could spend all day praising the company's hemp-derived cannabinoid-infused goods, but you came here for a product review, and my gosh, you're gonna get it!

This was actually the first "baked" good (pun intended) that I've tried, but cannabis-infused kitchen treats are by no means a new thing. Funny brownies and cookies have been a staple for traditional potheads, but for many consumers, the real thing is simply too strong. Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, we can enjoy a more mellow high that's quite a bit more manageable. Delta-8 THC is derived from hemp, making it 100% legal on a federal level. The legality may vary depending on the state which you reside, but for the most part is readily available online or in-store. The effects of Delta-8 THC will vary based on several personal factors, such as your previous exposure to THC, age, weight, metabolism, and so forth. The effects also range depending on the product type consumed: edibles can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours to kick in, while inhalables like vapes and pre-rolls can kick in anywhere from 10-15 minutes. Sublinguals like tinctures and oral strips are smack dab in the middle, ranging from 45-90 minutes to feel the effects. As a precaution, be sure to check with your personal care physician prior to consuming any hemp-derived cannabinoid to ensure it's appropriate for you to do so. Now that the boring stuff is out of the way, it's time to check out the real thing! You can also view my YouTube review on this particular product to view my first-time reaction to trying the product.

Upon inspecting the package, I wasn't able to discern if the treat was a sativa, indica, or hybrid blend (I later discovered on the website that it was a hybrid blend). The cellophane wrapper was fairly flimsy and crinkled quite a bit when held, and was slightly difficult to open without a sharp knife. The only information displayed was on the face of the package, exactly as you see it pictured in the above photo. Preliminary information like the total THC content (0.3%), hemp-derived cannabinoid (Delta-9 THC), age restriction (18-21+), and total Delta-9 THC for the entire treat (420mg) is clearly listed on the front. The flavor is Pumpkin Spice Latte, a fall favor for any nostalgic noshers. Rather than simply chomping down on the treat, I tried to figure out a proper serving size to consume. A few minutes of basic math later, I narrowed it down to 1/16 of a piece for a total of 26.5mg. My sweet spot for any hemp-infused edible is between 20-30mg, so I was comfortable with the calculated dosage. As you can view in the video, it took a bit of swordsmanship to cut off the proper amount, but I did it!

The treat itself was slightly stick from the marshmallow pieces and sugar. I remember looking doubtfully at the small piece in my hand, wondering if that would be enough. This was further exacerbated once I had the treat in my mouth. A bold explosion of pumpkin, cinnamon, and sweetness blasted my taste buds into autumn heaven. The treat was easy to chew, but did leave my mouth feeling a bit dry. I opted for a glass of milk to wash it down, but was very surprised that there was no lingering flavor of hemp or bitterness once I had swallowed. There was no slimy coating that covered my teeth or tongue, and I wistfully gazed at the massive square still remaining, wondering if I dared to cut off more. The taste was incredible, the texture was delightful; my only complaint would be that there was no way to properly store it once the cellophane wrapper was torn open. I decided to store it in a Ziplock bag, but wasn't very confident that it would maintain its soft and gooey freshness for long. I made a mental note of the time and began to busy myself with small tasks while waiting for the effects to kick in.

It took a little less than two hours to fully experience the effects. I noticed a weighted sensation descending upon my body and a very comfortable heaviness, which I can only liken to a weighted blanket. My eyes felt drowsy and wanted to close, but I was surprised that I didn't feel drowsy or couch-locked. I had an increased sensitivity to touch, with a noticeable increase in tingling throughout my legs, hands, feet, chest, and face. There wasn't much of an increased appetite (munchies!), but as it was late, my body may not have wanted to eat anything right before going to sleep. I felt a sporadic surge of creativity and focus, and became fascinated with reading/watching things online. At no point did I feel overwhelmed or uneasy, and was able to enjoy the high for several hours. I finally drifted off to sleep (which was quite quickly, once my head hit the pillow), and slept soundly throughout the night. I awoke feeling refreshed and ready to start the day, sans any mental cobwebs or grogginess upon waking.

While I realize that these effects aren't standardized to all consumers, I hope that my experience can help you understand what to expect should you decide to try them for yourself. I have many more products to sample and review from Indacloud, but as this is my first post on Buy Me A Coffee, I figured it'd be fitting to share my experiences with a latte-flavored treat!
