I am sharing with joy my recent article on the Greek Bagpipe Lexicon, in other words on how greek bagpipes (gaida and tsambouna) are traditionally described and why it is important for a whole image of the phenomenon. Actually the "gaida language" was my first field research in Northern Greece in 2013, and it was that moment all the story started from: a young and brave linguist, I was not aiming to become a bagpiper, at the beginning it was just an object for study but experiencing this land and this sound I just couldn't resist its charm.
