One of the best things about living in the Comunidad Valenciana is the incredible mix of people and cultures that call this region home.
But living alongside people from different countries isn’t quite the same as getting to know them.
That’s what we want to change.
Through International Community Valencia and Valencia Roots, we want to create relaxed, welcoming events where locals and international residents can meet, share food, discover each other’s traditions and — hopefully — make some new friends along the way.
And what better way to get started than around a table?

🇩🇪🍺 Oktoberfest Comes to Alzira — A Little Taste of Germany!
German food, cold beer, good music and great company — Oktoberfest is coming to Alzira!
On Sunday, 4 October, from 15:00 to 19:00, Vesuvio Alzira is bringing a little German Oktoberfest spirit to the heart of La Ribera.
Whether you’re German, Spanish, British, Dutch, French or from anywhere else in the world, you’re invited to join an afternoon built around one simple idea:
Good food. Good people. Celebrating together. 🍻
🌭 A Taste of Germany in Alzira
Expect German flavours, cold drinks and a relaxed Oktoberfest atmosphere where locals and the international community can meet, eat, drink and enjoy the afternoon together.
The Oktoberfest Special is just €9.90 and includes:
🍺 1 drink + 🌭 German Bratwurst + 🥔 side dish
And if you fancy something more, Schnitzel can also be pre-ordered when making your reservation.

You certainly don’t have to be German to come!
The idea behind the afternoon is to bring together people from Alzira and across the Comunidad Valenciana — locals, international residents, newcomers, couples, groups of friends and families.
If you’ve recently moved to the area, it’s also a great opportunity to meet new people.
And if you already have your own group of friends? Bring them along.
Families are very welcome. 👨👩👧👦
Dirndl and Lederhosen aren’t compulsory, of course… but if you’ve got them, this is definitely the day to wear them. 😉🇩🇪

If you’ve never visited Alzira, Oktoberfest gives you a good excuse.
Alzira is the capital of La Ribera Alta, surrounded by the orange groves and agricultural landscape that make this part of the Comunidad Valenciana so distinctive.
Come a little earlier, have a look around town and then settle in for an afternoon of food, drinks and new company.
