To be precise, I am a big fan of the animated film AKIRA. I have not read the graphic novels yet, but plan to in the future. Now I'm not going to claim to be the biggest fan cause I'm sure there are some Nerdier Nerds that has devoted some kind of time money and or organ to further delve into the depths of this techno distopian world.
I have watched this movie over and over in loops, I've also watched numerous interviews, looked for YouTube channels that are dedicated to the subject of my beloved movie and not to mention groups and articles. After watching Akira over countless of times, you start to wonder about things and ask questions.
Questions like:
Why wasn't a sequel considered? It was such a damn good movie!!
Why haven't they updated the movie to today's standards knowing 80's fantasy tech is now today's modern reality. Kind of like that "World of Tomorrow" at that amusement park that rhymes with "Shmisney"!!!
Why hasn't a live action been produced!
Why hasn't a modern video game with today's tech have been produced. (Because that game would so rock!!)
And then, there are MY questions:
Didn't the Harukiya Bar at the beginning of the movie look too big from the inside to occupy the space under the building it was under?
Where some of the places in Akira real places?
Why at the beginning of the film when they showed the traffic light pole on the crosswalk toward the bar there was no crossing light, but closer to the end of the film there was a cross walk light?
So not to bore you with my OCD nit picking of a fictional world, I have an over abundance of questions such as this, and I will show you why these questions popped in my head and why it is so important to me...
I will be doing a lot of referencing of pictures in my albums.
In the future I will be posting videos through my YouTube channel, but since I'm in the beginning stages of this process, I will only be posting still shots.
Thank you, especially my supporters that allow me to continue to making content for all of you.
And remember
Be Well.
