I wanted to share my solution to solve a personal frustration - I was spending too much time manually creating recurring calendar events.
So I built ‘Event Logger’ which helps you prepare multiple calendar entries quickly and consistently. Select several dates across one or more months, enter an event title, start time, duration, location and any further notes, then add the events to a list for review, or to add to.
I’ve been using it for a friend’s outdoor tourism business, he has an online booking system that syncs with his calendar when books are made, however doesn’t show his overall availability for bookings. So schedule management was a hassle.
Its come in handy for my own schedule management for a while now, mainly for:
Setting up weekly routines
Scheduling personal commitments
Tracking projects
It handles:
Recurring events
Works with standard calendar apps
Multiple events at once
Easy visual input
Saved presents for reuse common details
I've included a few screenshots of the app below, it includes the moon and tide information that I included for my friend's beach fishing business, that's an optional extra that doesn't need to be included.
At this stage it’s a MacOS app, I have plans to make it a iOS app if there is interest.
