😍 German Tip of the Day: “Werden” – The Key to Future Tense & Passive Voice!
The verb “werden” is essential in German because it forms both the future tense and the passive voice.
1️⃣ Future Tense with “Werden”
To discuss the future, use werden + the infinitive verb at the end.
➡️ Ich werde morgen Deutsch lernen. (I will learn German tomorrow.)
➡️ Er wird nächste Woche nach Berlin reisen. (He will travel to Berlin next week.)
2️⃣ Passive Voice with “Werden”
To describe actions where the subject is not acting, use werden + past participle.
➡️ Das Buch wird gelesen. (The book is being read.)
➡️ Der Brief wurde geschrieben. (The letter was written.)
💡Quick Tip: If “werden” is followed by an infinitive, it’s future tense. If followed by a past participle, it’s passive!
