Good evening all it’s been another fantastic weekend on the trails , walked the big river 4 wheel drive road through to the old ghost town of Waiutu
Spent a night at big river hut explored the area had lots of laughs and saw some mines etc.
Sprained my bicep pretty badly so off work for 10 days which is all I have left in Greymouth, not the way I wanted to end my work here but it is what it is,
Next plan so to head back to Queenstown and keep walking along the greenstone track toward Fiordland’s and the bluff

another mine along the trail 
rained all Saturday but we kept filming 
the old Rahanui hut where the mine mangers lived 
an old lift used to put the miners way down the hole with the wheel house behind 
beautifully put back together but doc I think 
the crane tower used to lower the miners over 1000ft into the earth

final day from big river hut to Waiutu, definitely a good walk through
