Single-window AI workflows are fundamentally broken for large projects. uSwarm fixes this by splitting the AI's "brain" across multiple chat windows.

It forces the AI into strict, isolated classes—Architect, Manager, Worker, and Owner—that execute complex tasks in parallel. Instead of one AI trying to do everything, these agents communicate asynchronously via a lightweight router.json routing table and individual task.json tickets tucked inside isolated folders.

The Architect plans the blueprint and freezes. The Workers open in fresh windows with empty, cheap context windows, read their specific ticket, execute the code, and leave.

🎭 Strict Role Switching & Identity Lock

Your agents should never break character. uSwarm uses dense YAML frontmatter to enforce hard operational boundaries.

• Every first response demands a strict identity check: "I am [Role]-[Name]. I proceed to [Step].".
• Role switches prompted to require explicit, per-switch confirmation commands (like swarm as worker or switch to manager).
• This enforces the Architect to never writes spaghetti code, and the Worker to never alter the master architecture.

uSwarm is designed to be frictionless:

1. Copy the .agents/ folder into your project root and type "init".

2. Type "swarm" to wake the Architect and have it plan your complex feature.

3. Open a new IDE chat window and type "join swarm" to let the Swarm start executing the tickets in parallel.

• Zero-Token Provisioning: The Manager doesn't waste premium LLM tokens writing boilerplate. Built-in scripts/provision.js and scripts/provision.py scripts handle physical directory builds, saving thousands of LLM Output Tokens per task.
• Total Scope Control: Explicit "Anti-Goals" and strict API Contracts prevent the AI from hallucinating dependencies or writing spaghetti code.
• AST Pruning (Skeleton Context): Built-in scripts physically rip function signatures, types, and interfaces from your TS/JS/Python files for minimal token payload ingestion.
• Living Memory: Run "swarm init" and the Swarm tracks your tech stack in .unqa-swarm_project-context.md. It remembers your architectural decisions across sessions, forever.
• The Surgeon Protocol: Explicit laws prohibit agents from entirely rewriting files over 50 lines—Workers are forced to output targeted patches and diffs instead.
• Auto-Healing & Fast Recovery: The new "shape up" command forcefully reconciles crashed workspace states, while "retry" lets you instantly re-dispatch a failed ticket.
