Keeps the lights on: the directory server, the domain names, and the AI tools µnleashed is built with. You get the development posts as the board grows. The software stays free for everyone; support buys no features and no priority, just more of the work, sooner.

For people who want µnleashed to still be here in ten years, not ten weeks. This covers the monthly costs with room for test hardware, like the ESP32-S3 board on the bench now. You get the posts plus behind the scenes: what broke, what it took to fix, and why it was built the way it was.

À propos Unleashed BBS

Free bulletin board software for a chip you can hold in one hand

µnleashed BBS is a free, open-source bulletin board system that runs on a five-dollar ESP32 chip. Call it over telnet from a Commodore 64, an old PC or a modern terminal for chat, forums, mail and files, with no web and no cloud. It is built by one person, Rob, with AI tools doing much of the development, writing and design, and those tools, the directory server, the domain names and test hardware all cost money every month. Everything stays free: the firmware, the browser installer and the directory. Supporting it buys no features and no priority. It keeps the work moving.
