The Mammy Behind the Story
Céad Míle Fáilte! Pull up a chair and let the door swing shut behind you.
I’m the woman with the long black hair, the three wild kids (a teenage girl, a blonde toddler, and a baby boy), and a husband who—God bless him—is in great shape for a man with a shaved head and a beard, despite the chaos I put him through.
If you’re here, you’ve probably heard of my story, "The Weight I Carried: How My Mind Found Survival in Starvation." For a long time, I lived in the shadows. I thought survival meant being small. I thought if I could just control every calorie and every inch of my body, I’d be safe. I was chasing a "Type A" perfection that didn't exist, while my soul was fading away.
Then came baby number three. That little lad didn't just change my nappies; he changed my mind. He showed me that you can’t raise a family from a place of emptiness. I traded the "survival" of starvation for the beautiful, messy, loud, and unfiltered reality of recovery.
Why am I here?
I’m not a "wellness influencer" with a pristine kitchen and a filtered life. I’m a Mammy in the trenches. I’m here to write for the women who are tired of being told to "just love themselves" by people who’ve never felt the grip of an eating disorder or the exhaustion of postpartum life.
I write The Trauma-Informed Toolkit for Self-Regulation and Postpartum Healing because we need tools that actually work when the house is upside down and the "starvation ghost" starts whispering again.
What your "coffee" supports:
If you’ve found a bit of comfort in my words, or if I’ve helped you realize that you’re doing "grand" even when you feel like a disaster, you can buy me a coffee.
The Caffeine: Let’s be real, with a toddler and a baby, I’m basically 70% espresso at this point.
The Mission: It helps me keep creating these unfiltered toolkits and sharing the raw truth about recovery, trauma, and motherhood.
The Community: Every coffee is a "cheers" to staying present, staying fed, and staying whole for our families.
I’m done with shrinking. I’m taking up space, I’m eating the toast, and I’m raising my tribe.
Thanks for being part of the journey. Now, for the love of God, go put the kettle on for yourself too.
