So a few weeks ago now my car was destroyed in a fire. Don't know how it started, don't really care at this point because no blame can help recover what was lost. I wasn't there when it happened, I was away on a rotation of work for 6 weeks and returned to it like this.
I had most of my equipment in this car. NVG's, Thermal optics, uniforms, medical equipment, drone jammer, rifle and weapon parts, drone controller and headset, Kestrel, chronograph, range finder, etc. Everything was destroyed. My suppressors survived and are currently getting refurbished by the manufacturer, and one optic and the rangefinder have been replaced by Vortex (Love their policy).
I feel immense guilt and regret over this loss because all of my equipment was bought using money given by this and other communities. In my branch of the Ukrainian military we do not get paid well, there are lots and lots of issues (I am in the process of leaving this unit to find another), and I don't really know what to say about the fiscal loss that occurred. I am sorry for those that did donate only to have a lot of it get destroyed so carelessly.
This does not mean the end of my time in Ukraine, I will continue to fight. I just have a lot to rebuild now.
