My name is Zoryana Gutsulyak, and I founded the Ukrainian Speaking Club (Розмовний клуб з Зоряною Гуцуляк) for Russian speakers in response to the Ukrainian language protection law as my volunteer project in 2021.

The club has amassed 450 organic followers, with 102 subscribing to meeting invitations, fostering collaborations, business growth, and friendships.

Promoting our language is crucial for sharing Ukrainian history and uncovering messages Russia has manipulated over the past 300 years.

Our two-hour Zoom sessions comprise small group discussions and pair interactions, with participants engaging for approximately 20 minutes in groups and another 20 minutes in pairs. I've nurtured the club as an inclusive space for anyone striving to enhance their Ukrainian language skills, with the largest group I've managed consisting of 22 people.

My mission initially was as a co-owner of the graphic design atelier Gutsulyak.Studio was to reshape the Ukrainian creative market, ensuring it wasn't perceived as part of the Russia-Kazakhstan-Ukraine territory.

In 2022, amid the Russian invasion, my focus shifted to providing emotional support to Ukrainians who remained in the country or dispersed around the globe. I am committed to raising awareness about Ukraine's culture, literature, music, art, and traditions. Protecting and cherishing the Ukrainian language will safeguard many generations of Ukrainians from Moscowian barbarism.
