Welcome Readers.
For a few years now I have been using my Canon EOS M50 mirrorless camera. It must be 2019 or so when I got this great camera and today, I wanted to share with you some of why I still enjoy using it.

I love the Canon M50 for many reasons even today. To start with I have come from a background of using point and shoot cameras like you may have used for your family holidays, before we all used our phones. From High 8 and Mini DV Tape cameras to my first SD Camera, times have really come a long way, from where I started.

When I got my M50 I had not long got a really good Canon R806 (point & shoot) for a short film I made, back when I made yearly short films. But I really wanted something much better.

So, after watching many Youtube videos on what camera to buy. I went with the Canon M50 after watching some great camera videos from Think Media.

So now you might be asking, come on Dave why do you like this camera so much?

Well, it's easy to use. You can just point and shoot and off you go film away! As it's a mirrorless camera, you can change its lens. Saying that I still use and enjoy using its 15mm to 45mm kit lens that came with the camera and I have to add, it's really good still for both videos and photos.

This camera has a nice touch screen that's user friendly and turns around, so when you're filming yourself, you can see what you are doing, like on your phone. For this spec of camera, it's not a bad price and now that we have the Canon EOS R50 that came out this year (2023). You can now get some great deals on the M50.

As a Content Creator one of the best parts of this camera, is the fate it has a mic jack and this is very helpful for adding a microphone. Very hard to get a camera this good without spending much more. This is great news when filming outdoors. As the M50 can still record audio, but as half of all video is audio. Plugging in a Mic is a great way to improve any video.

For the price and what it can do even toe to toe with your phones, the Canon M50 is still my joy of cameras. Go check out the Canon M50 mark ii (https://amzn.to/3NJzZ74) its younger brother and find yourself a great deal.
