Why the DJI Pocket 3 Has Become My Go‑To Camera

I’ve used a lot of cameras over the years (20+ Years), but the DJI Pocket 3 has quickly become one of my absolute favourites. It’s the kind of camera that just gets out of your way so you can focus on creating. Whether I’m grabbing quick photos for social, shooting thumbnails while I’m out and about, or filming a walk‑and‑talk, this little thing makes the whole process effortless. I really enjoy making Youtube Videos with this camera and its easy to Live Streaming too.

The built‑in gimbal tracking is honestly my favourite part. It follows my face like I’ve got my own personal cameraman walking beside me. No fiddling, no setup, no stress — just hit record and go. And because it’s so compact, I can take it anywhere without feeling like I’m carrying a full kit.

If you’re thinking of picking one up, I’d say go for the Creator Combo. For around £100 extra, you get the DJI Mic 2, a mini tripod, and a few other bits that make a massive difference to your setup. The mic alone is worth it — clean audio instantly makes your videos feel more professional.

(You can get the DJI Pocket 3 now for around £300ish + £100ish for the Creators Combo.)

Why This Camera Works So Well

  • It’s genuinely easy to use, even for beginners

  • The gimbal stabilisation makes every shot smooth

  • Great for thumbnails, social photos, and quick content

  • The Mic 2 massively boosts your audio quality

  • Perfect for creators who want to stay light and mobile

What You Really Need in a Simple Creator Setup

You don’t need a huge, complicated rig to make great content. Start with the basics:

  • An easy‑to‑use camera — something you’ll actually take with you

  • A good lens — sharp, clean images make everything look better

  • A decent mic — audio is half the experience (Mic2 for Wireless or a Rode Shotgun Mic if you want to plug into something like a Mirrorless Camera.

  • Lighting — use the sun when you can, or grab a cheap flood light for indoors

Keep it simple. Keep it fun. Keep creating.

Why the Canon M50 Still Has My Heart

Even with all the new gear I’ve tried, the Canon M50 remains one of my favourite cameras of all time. It was the perfect mix of simplicity, great colour, and creator‑friendly features. It helped so many beginners (me included) fall in love with filming.
