Looking forward to a great game tonight with the insights of Mark Bowes-Cavanagh on co-commentary. As a lifelong United fan, I can’t express enough how proud I am of the incredible work the Bryn Consortium has done for our club during the 2024/25 season. From the moment they took over in May 2024, it felt like a fresh start—a chance to restore pride and ambition to Torquay United.
Their decision to appoint Paul Wotton as manager and Neil Warnock as Football Advisor showed real intent. These are people who understand football and know how to build a winning mentality. It’s been brilliant to see the team improve under their leadership, with performances on the pitch reflecting the renewed optimism amongst the supporters.
What’s even more impressive is how much they’ve engaged with us, the fans. The online survey they launched to hear our views made it clear that this consortium genuinely values the supporters. For the first time in a long while, it feels like we have a voice in the future of our club, and that connection has been sorely missed.
Then there’s Plainmoor. Investing not just in the team but in the facilities, ensuring we have a home ground we can all be proud of. It’s these kinds of changes that show their commitment to building a solid foundation for the years ahead.
The energy, passion, and vision the Bryn Consortium has brought to Torquay United is nothing short of inspiring. As fans, we’ve waited far too long for this kind of leadership. It finally feels like our club is heading in the right direction, and I couldn’t be prouder to call myself a Gulls supporter .
