About Tom Salzer

Supporting conservation and amateur radio

Now you can buy me a coffee and give me the gift of your feedback! While coffee is always much appreciated, it is certainly not required. You choose whether to contribute or not, and whatever you choose is perfectly fine.

I consider myself a lifelong learner. One of my personal maxims is: a busy mind is never at rest!

I've been involved with voluntary conservation since 1992 in many roles. I've managed two conservation districts, worked for a state conservation commission, and currently lead a state nonprofit association of conservation districts. Learn more at https://tomsalzer.com/ and https://www.wadistricts.org/.

I've also re-entered the world of amateur radio. This hobby is really a hobby of many hobbies. Follow along at https://www.randomwire.us/, https://etherham.com, or visit my AllStarLink "node in the cloud" at https://kj7t.net/.

The fact that this happened in a short, supplemental budget session makes this even more astounding. Plenty of work to do for conservation districts and now they have funding to get some of the most urgent and important work ...
