TLDR

So the idea I am working on is a Graphic Novel reader.

I always loved reading comic books as a child and always wanted to make more time getting into reading more but i feel like i spend alot of time around it and i am not sure if i get distracted or cant commit to reading a book but I do know graphic novels are something i always enjoyed.

IDEA

The idea is instead of having panels that the user reads on the browser, i want to add transitions, animations (but all only happening when the current scene is focused and active). The transitions and animations would be simple (assets looping over a sequence of 4-5 frames maybe) i.e maybe someone blinking, rain falling etc. and all just to set the mood. There are other things like sound that eventually would also be a cool implementation.

The applicattion would be considered a progressive one maybe for now. I dont intend to make it for mobile just yet but a desktop reader that is responsive enough will do fine for most readers i feel.

Later down the line there will be an editor will allow creators to make scenes with animations and assets that animate etc (the panels will start off being one horizontal one where you can add assets and the reader will have each being a scene that will focus the areas and start animations where the user needs to be based on where they are viewing on the application while scrolling or while the auto scroller is running)

I dont plan on people to pay for this as i want to make the viewer and explorer a free and read. This is something i always wanted a visual and somewhat interactive scene to portray the scene for that moment.

I attached a little quick clip of the reading section i made so far as little demo. I might have not explained alot because i struggle to do that at times (added link to gif of the window version that was recorded, quality is a little off after upload but its all using dummy assets and i am looking at getting some illistrators and writers for short stories).

I will post a URL here of where things are hosted once i have setup the library section to select different stories - I will however make threads of the progress here as the development happens.

Cheers!
