We took a risk. We decided to go against the grain. Whilst most people are planning for their future we decided to live for the moment. Life moves too fast, its time to slow things down.
In June 2023 we sold everything we owned, let go of our rented house , brought a 34 year old campervan Old Gertie and hit the road. Loaded up with everything we had left, our dog Frank, our cat Murphy and a whole lot of hope we hit the road.
Vanlife travel wasn't new to us, we had a T5 before Gertie and had spent the previous 5 years road tripping part time around the UK. We hadn't intended to buy a campervan when we brought our T5, we were in fact looking for a new car. When we did buy it, our intention was to go glamping.
Fast forward 6 years and we are now fulltime vanlifers! Crazy how one unrelated decision can change your life without you even knowing what you could be choosing.
That brings me up to speed.

We know most travellers count the countries they have visited but for us this isn't a race.
Slow travel is an important part of slow living for us. Really immersing ourselves in the moment and the area.
