Beat! Congrats on finishing the JMT++. I had hoped to do some more personal trail angeling, but it was not to be. In lieu of that, please accept this tardy "coffee money." Please apply it to a nice meal with your lovely bride or use in whatever way you see fit.

Be safe; keep at it!

Just completed the build of the pre-filter and it is going into the pack on the next backcountry trip. Thanks again for all you help and guidance on the build process - greatly appreciated!

Hoping you can provide guidance/details on how you created the "pre-filter" for your Sawyer Squeeze (referenced in CDT gear list)
Hey Andrew, thanks for the proverbial coffee! I did a brief kind of overview of my prefilter in my CDT announcement video on youtube, available here: https://youtu.be/cLO8VbVnBJI?si=9QceFOvymZ4I-w36&t=13m00s . Basically it was the Sawyer hose attachment nipple end that I sawed down and filed for the female thread, glued to the similarly sawed off and filed top / male thread of a smartwater bottle. I attached the two pieces using https://www.loctiteproducts.com/en/products/fix/super-glue/loctite_plasticsbondingsystem.html , which worked AMAZINGLY and hasn't failed yet even after both the entire CDT and PCT. The mesh is just held in place using the standard Sawyer gasket. Perhaps I should do a full video on this item, you're far from the first person to ask about it! Thanks again for the donation, please let me know how it goes for you! BTW: I would ABSOLUTELY 110% recommend building yourself one. Check a quick example of its effacacy at: https://youtu.be/8MJxHtP-Kjw?si=gnPkV5pBNM5Ii17S&t=9m04s
