First off, being transgender is not an easy thing to be even in today when they are trying to preach acceptance. There are many things that can hurt you when you decide to come out to your family and friends. When I came out to my family they said I was just looking for attention. Then they changed that and kept calling me a cross-dresser. There is a major difference between a transgender person and a cross-dresser. A cross-dresser is someone who just likes to wear clothes of the opposite sex, while a transgender person believes that they were suppose to be born as another gender than they were assigned at birth. They choose to live as a woman or a man for the rest of their lives.
I have been out and lived my life as a transgender woman since 2013 and still to this day I have had may trouble because of it. I do not regret coming out and being who I really am but I do have days that I wish I was not here anymore. I've had friends that do not even consider me human let alone as a woman.
