I’m Jurgen, a hiker and developer from the Netherlands.
When I planned my first hut-to-hut trek - The Peaks of the Balkans, I ended up with a notebook, 32 browser tabs and no idea whether day four had a bed. The trail was on one site, the stages in a guidebook, and the huts on twenty websites, half of them in a language I don’t read.
So I started building the thing I wanted. Evenings and weekends, next to a full-time job, for ten months now.
I’m not done. More trails are coming, and so are the people who run the huts, with their own stories on their own pages. One day you’ll be able to walk from hut to hut with the route in your pocket. I’ll keep building it, one stage at a time.
