Back in the Game and Upping My Skills!

Wow, it feels like ages since I last sat down to write a blog post! Life has been incredibly busy here at Touchline Performance, keeping both myself and Tyler on our toes; in a good way of course. Part of that business has been the fantastic conclusion to the rugby season. We recently had an amazing day out at Twickenham to watch Oundle RFC play Huddersfield RUFC in the Papa John’s Community Cup final. What a match! Seeing Oundle secure a brilliant 52-19 victory was a fitting end to their season, especially after they were crowned Regional 1 South East Champions back in April. It’s been great to follow their success.

But amongst all the excitement, some things are too important to put off, and for me, continuous learning and development in the world of sports therapy and client care is paramount. That’s why I’m really excited to share that I’ll be diving into a Pitch-side Sports First Aid with AED Training course next weekend, from June 7th to June 9th.

As you know, providing the best possible support for athletes (active individuals) is at the heart of everything we do at Touchline Performance. Whether it's through sports massage or general advice, being equipped with the latest knowledge and skills is crucial. This course is a fantastic opportunity to refresh and build upon my existing first aid knowledge, specifically for those critical pitch-side moments. It's all about ensuring I can provide immediate, effective care when it's needed most.

I was actually scheduled to do a similar course a little while back – some of you might remember my musings in the "Coffee and Bees" post about that little hiccup! Well, I'm thrilled to have this one locked in and ready to go.

Running Touchline Performance with Tyler, and seeing his dedication to the sport of rugby, constantly reminds me of the importance of player welfare. This training will not only benefit the players (clients) I work with directly but also reinforces our commitment at Touchline Performance to the highest standards of care.

I’m looking forward to an intensive and informative weekend. I’ll be sure to share any key takeaways or insights afterwards!

For now, it's back to the usual hustle, but with an extra spring in my step knowing I’m investing in skills that can make a real difference. ⛑️

Stay safe and keep performing at your best!
