“If you pick 1st to 3rd place, there will be no afternoon training!”
Sono coach Kim Seung-gi expressed his earnest desire for the first pick, a day ahead of the '2023 KBL Rookie Player Draft' ranking draw held on the 14th.
The '2023 KBL Rookie Player Draft' ranking draw will be divided into the first and second rounds, with different probabilities assigned based on the final rankings of last season.
DB, KT, Korea Gas Corporation, and Samsung, which did not advance to the playoffs, each received 16% in the first draw, Hyundai Mobis and KCC, who advanced to the semifinals, received 12% each, and LG and Sono, who advanced to the semifinals, received 5% each and were runners-up.
Team SK has a 1.5% probability, and the winning team Cheong Gwan-Jang is assigned a lottery ball with a 0.5% probability to determine the 1st to 4th rankings.
It is not easy to obtain the 1st to 4th picks for Sono, which has a 5% chance. But I am still waiting for the draw with hope. After lunch on the 13th, Coach Kim told the players, “Let’s all gather together at 11 a.m. tomorrow (14th) and watch the lottery together.
“If we select 1st to 3rd place, we will let them rest without training in the afternoon,” he declared.
In response to Coach Kim’s words, the Sono players unanimously said, “We should pray for the top pick.”
Coach Kim also raised his index finger and prayed for the team's first pick, including Anthony Bennett, who was selected first in the NBA (National Basketball Association) rookie draft and wearing a Sono uniform.
The Sono team, currently undergoing domestic training in Hongcheon, is staying at the Sono Moon (hotel) within the parent company's Sono Vivaldi Park.
There was even a joke saying, “I guess they’re picking Moon Jeong-hyun because he’s sleeping in Sono’s ‘Moon’.” 먹튀검증사이트
Forward Moon Jeong-hyun, a graduate of Korea University, is a promising prospect who is considered the top candidate for this year's rookie draft.
However, Director Kim said, “There is no law that says you must select Moon Jeong-hyun. Depending on the nomination ranking, the nominated player may change. “We have to look at the situation,” he said.
Meanwhile, the '2023 KBL Rookie Player Draft' ranking draw event will be held at the KBL Center training center at 11 am on the 14th.
