The Rendezvous is a student project that serves members of the Five Colleges and the surrounding communities to help facilitate community connection through live performance, social dance, and food. The event also prioritizes artist compensation as a means of cultural equity. Music is an art form vital to a healthy society, and as such, compensation is necessary for skilled artists. A band of talented emerging musicians from across the Five College Consortium will present a program of Funk, Soul, and R&B music from the 1970s and 1980s. This music program has diverse cultural and intergenerational appeal, whether nostalgic or heard for the first time.

This project is 100% developed by Tiani Thorne for her senior capstone at Hampshire College. It has a fundraising goal of $3,380 to go toward the fair compensation of artists, catering, other related costs, and to allow for free entry to the event. This fundraiser is ongoing and will be open until the day of the event on April 27th, 2025.

Total raised: $3,327
