Long time no update, thanks for supporting this is the spot!
Things have been pretty slow with getting the Spots website up and off the ground.
We've had a few people start and stop working on the site over the months, and we made little to no progress on anything web-related for a while. There was just a lot of wasted time using WordPress when I initially tried to do it myself, then moved to another web developer who built a temporary site and set up a few other elements for us.
Now, my final web developer has got the ball rolling, and we've made so much progress since he started just a few weeks ago. we've changed our domain from .travel to .dog ( this gives us more flexibility ) to list hire fields and other less travel-related things that could prove useful for anxious or reactive dog parents like fear free groomers, vets, hire fields, Certified Clinical animal behaviourists. etc ( should we wish too )
We've already achieved quite a bit, despite starting from scratch again. We've been forming region trees, creating filters, designing pages, and finalizing colour palettes (and fonts!) over and over. I’ve also been gathering all the website icons for the filters, accommodation types, and amenities, and even designing a few custom ones, like the XL Bully-friendly icon and the dog wash.
It’s all very exciting! We had hoped for a launch at the start of October, but it’s looking like it might be the end of October or early November. We really want to ensure it’s a solid V1 ( First version) with everything it needs and looks good. We're planning to roll out a larger V2 in the new year, with a more extensive map and a few other exciting elements that I can't wait to share.
Thanks for supporting us!
