About When They Get Older
a website for anyone lending a hand to older family and friends
Hello! I'm Kathy and I'm the owner, editor and regular writer for When They Get Older. The site was set up to help families help their older relatives and friends enjoy the best quality of life they can in later life. And to balance that with their commitments to work, partners, friends, children and their own sanity! When They Get Older isn't a charity, but it's not a major commercial organisation either. It's pretty well just me here on the keyboard, although I have some great supporters in the background. So if you've found anything interesting or useful on the site, I'd be delighted if you'd buy me a coffee! And please share with anyone who might find the site helpful. Many thanks

Known as the 'sunshine vitamin ', it's deemed to be really helpful in building bones, reducing the effect of the gloomy months on mental...
