Own Your Gifts & Worth: Stepping Out of Lack and Into God’s Prosperity

So many of us walk through life dimming our light, doubting our gifts, and settling for less than what we deserve. We downplay our talents, ignore our intuition, and convince ourselves that living small somehow makes us more spiritual, humble, or worthy in God’s eyes.

But here’s the truth: living in lack is not spiritual alignment.

God did not create you to suffer, struggle, or stay stuck in fear. He created you with intention placing within you gifts, talents, and desires that are meant to be expressed, shared, and multiplied.

I admit I read that several times before I took the time to really understand it. I somehow convinced myself my spiritual gifts were meant to keep hidden. Then the thought of charging to help others? How was that spiritual? Then I thought about it, if God gave me the gift of intuition, and healing, why would he not want me to develop those and use them? Then throughout the Bible God says he wants us to prosper, ok well prosper certainly doesn’t mean to stay poor and struggle. And no where dose it say work for free. It is not only ok to charge for the work I do with my gifts, it’s what God intended all along.

You Were Made for More

When you refuse to own your worth, you’re essentially telling God, “What You gave me isn’t enough.” That’s not humility that’s self-denial. True humility is acknowledging that your gifts come from Him, and then boldly using them to serve others and bring light into the world.

Think about it: a seed isn’t meant to stay buried. Its purpose is to grow, bloom, and bear fruit. You are no different.

Prosperity Is Spiritual

So often, people associate prosperity only with money. But prosperity is about wholeness—spiritual growth, peace of mind, healthy relationships, abundance of resources, financial overflow, and the freedom to live out your purpose.

Scripture reminds us: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2)

That means prosperity is not only allowed—it is God’s will for you.

Owning Your Gifts Honors God

Every time you step into your power, own your gifts, and walk in your worth, you glorify the One who made you. Playing small, living in fear, or clinging to lack doesn’t serve you, and it certainly doesn’t serve God’s Kingdom.

Owning your gifts is not arrogance—it’s obedience. It’s saying “yes” to the assignment God placed on your life.

Living in Abundance

Living in abundance starts with shifting your mindset:

• Acknowledge your gifts—they are divine tools.

• Value your worth—you are a child of the Most High.

• Reject lack—scarcity thinking is a lie.

• Walk in faith—believing that God provides more than enough.

When you align with abundance, you begin to attract opportunities, resources, and connections that expand your life and allow you to serve at a higher level.

You are not here to just “get by.” You are here to shine, prosper, and thrive in every area of your life. Own your gifts, claim your worth, and trust that God delights in your prosperity.
