Have you ever tried to be who and what you thought you should be to fit in? Maybe it was trying to act a certain way to fit in with the popular crowd, maybe you tried to be sexy playmate to get the guy, or perhaps you decided you had to super professional and all corporate style to get the job or land a promotion. Now let me ask how did that feel? I know when I was trying to fit in and be the professional beauty consultant it was exhausting and draining. Not because I didn't love the company I am with or the products they offered. I absolutely love the products and company, but I am not the professional polished sales type. I am multi passionate, and love the laid back pinup style. I love doing makeup and makeovers, and tend to tell people skincare helps your makeup look better. ( It really does!) It just happens to be important for a lot of other reasons as well. But for years , yes I said years I tried following the script talking about skincare and trying to dress all business like. Not surprisingly I struggled to get sales and bookings. But when I started being myself, and sharing how I used the products and my favorite products, and shared my love of pinup style. When I started being myself is when I started to have more success. I also found I was attracting friends that were more aligned with me, and I started to have more confidence.
Being the real you is hard sometimes because we are taught to be people pleasing from an early age! We want to be liked and accepted that we will hide our true passions and dreams so we don't scare people away. The amazing thing is when we allow ourselves to be the real us we are happier, and we start to attract the more meaningful relationships, and find more success! Why because being yourself , the real unfiltered you feels good in your soul and that makes you a magnet to attract more things that you want and like to you!
So who are you really? And why are you hiding?
