The Sleeping Dog is an independent publication collecting regional folklore, strange stories, and community encounters from near and far. The collection covers everything from cryptids, aliens, ghosts, and paranormal happenings to haunted landmarks, weird history, unexplained phenomena, local legends, and other stories too strange to ignore.

The Sleeping Dog lives both online and in print. The online publication, hosted on Substack ( thesleepingdog.substack.com -- wink wonk ;P), shares individual stories, encounters, and folklore as they come. The zine issues are curated collections built around a different theme, bringing a handful of strange stories together in one little printed package.

The goal is to have a new issue every other month with a new theme and curated collection of stories and extras! As the publication grows, so will the mailings. Future issues will include readers’ own stories, local legends, and unexplained encounters submitted by the community.
