Hi! I’m Jared, a former science teacher, marine biologist by degree, and full-time maker-nerd behind “The Science Griffin”. I’m building a space where creativity, curiosity, and hands-on experimentation are not just encouraged… they’re celebrated.

I believe learning should feel empowering, not intimidating. Being able to move from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm is definitely the definition of success!

That’s why I create positive, beginner-friendly STEAM content that helps people of all ages build new skills. From 3D printing and CAD to science explainers for students and teachers alike, maker projects, and all the wonderfully nerdy things in between.

My goal is to break down barriers, open doors to “I never thought I could do that,” and guide people with encouragement, humor, and a supportive attitude. Whether someone is picking up their first tool, starting their first print, or exploring a new idea, I want them to feel capable, inspired, and excited to try.

I’m a maker at heart: I dive into new hobbies, challenges, fandoms, projects, and the occasional sci-fi and/or fantasy rabbit hole; then I turn what I learn and experience into videos and resources anyone can use. Hopefully I can help teachers deliver classroom lessons, homeschooled student engage in new and unexpected ways, or just connect people looking for a new community.
