IT. IS. FINISHED!!!! 🥳🥳🥳
At exactly 1:40 am, I finished the developmental edit of Champion's Escape. Took me 7 months to do, but for my first time, I'm not going to be too hard on myself. It was a lot of hard work, and I'm proud of what I have accomplished with it this year.
But the work isn't done.
So... what now?
Well, you know how you don't tend to think of a good comeback until after the fact? Same thing happens with writing. There are a few specific areas I'm going to double back to clean up. No more total rewrites. More like cleaning up some dialogue, adding final details, omitting certain details that didn't really add anything to the story. Then, it will be ready for line edits!!!
And as I mentioned in a previous post, we've raised $1,033 for it out of $2,620. That was quoted long before I made some fixes, so I'm going to see if it's still the same once I get my final word count solidified. But for now, we celebrate!!!
