In this video, I had the opportunity to visit Imam Shafii University and take a brief tour with the staff while I was in the area. We decided to visit both locations since the university wasn't far from Huffadh al-Quran Indonesia Pesantren.
It was a pleasure to meet Shaykh Ahmad, the main Quran teacher, and interact with some students while exploring the campus. I also caught up with the son of one of the Syrian teachers, who is being trained to become a Quran reciter and teacher, with hopes of establishing his own institution in Indonesia in the future, inshaAllah, this young man is on his way to being THE NEXT Quran Scholar of Islam!
I plan to return on my next trip and coordinate with my dawah team in Indonesia to arrange a more organised visit with the students and teachers, inshaAllah.
