In August 2023 I decided to make a video about my trip to Indonesia. I went there to attend the opening of Nurul Quran, a school for orphaned girls. I was involved in the the effort for four years to raise enough donations to get to the stage of officially opening even with much work still needing attention. The cause came about due to a fatality from a family member and we took this accident and loss of life to do something positive in the name of the deceased. (you can watch that video further down this page).
BUT Below is the first video in a series of these four vlogs about this blessed trip which begins when I leave Melbourne and have a 17-hour stopover in Brunei. I was excited because I'd never been to Brunei before, and I have a friend who lives there. But we went on a private tour with a local guide named Sandra who took us on a journey through the sultanate of Brunei!

So, I got to stay in Brunei for one night on my way to Indonesia and another night on my way back to Australia. I booked a private tour with a nice lady named Sandra, who knows a lot about Brunei's history. She picked us up from the airport and took me to my hotel. Sandra was really friendly and made sure we had a good time learning about Brunei.
