Hi, I’m Chanin, the creator of The Middie Beat.
I started The Middie Beat after realizing how difficult it could be to answer one seemingly simple question:
What is there to do around Middletown?
Great events, local businesses, restaurants, live music, classes and community activities were out there—but the information was scattered across Facebook pages, websites and calendars. It shouldn’t take an hour of searching to make weekend plans or discover a business right in your own community.
That’s why I created The Middie Beat: one convenient place to discover what’s happening in and around Middletown.
The site is independently operated, and local business listings and event submissions are currently free. I want businesses, organizations and residents to be able to participate without cost while The Middie Beat grows into a trusted community resource.
Every contribution helps with expenses such as:
Website hosting and software
Email and newsletter tools
Finding and verifying local events
Maintaining business and venue information
Creating community event guides and social posts
Improving and expanding the website
Reaching more residents and local businesses
Supporting The Middie Beat is always optional. Businesses do not have to contribute to receive a free listing, submit an event or be included on the site. Contributions do not determine which businesses or events receive coverage.
