As a math enthusiast, I admittedly have always favored the consistency and finality of my field of study: there exists a true and a false with little room in between. There is such a certainty in this science, constructed from an endless set of truths that leave no room for doubt, aside from ever-present human errors.

For such a notoriously tedious practice, one can surely find the irony in its simplicity: so few commodities can exist in this harmony of convoluted exactness. That said, as a lifelong voracious reader, I admit I have come to appreciate the drastic variability—and subjectivity—of literature, especially that of fiction. Subsequently, The Literary Variable aims to highlight, and appreciate, this contrast through commentary and reviews.

But alas, with every bit of joy and whimsy in life, there must also follow perils. Thus, as a full-time student and reader, I would say my caffeine dependency and book buying habits should need very little elaboration. My vices of choice are Redbulls and triple cappuccinos (double if I have time for a nap), and building my library (ahead of the apocalypse) to ease my sense of impending doom!
